Winter Wedding at Honeysuckle Hill with Snow | Becca and Jacob

POSTED ON

April 8, 2022

Becca and Jacob had a beautiful winter wedding at Honeysuckle Hill. She had mentioned she wanted snow on her wedding day, and she got it! There were flurries throughout the day. It was chilly, but it was beautiful and I’m so happy I got to photograph their wedding day.

These two were the best- it was chilly for outdoor photos, but they didn’t complain once. They were so happy to be getting married, and their joy was absolutely contagious. You can see the snow flurries coming down in the photos, so staying out in the cold for a little was so worth it!

Some tips for Winter Weddings…
  1. Hand warmers! Keep them in your pockets so they’re ready when you need to keep warm
  2. Layers! Wear layers under your clothing, or a jacket or shaw over top your dress to help keep warm when you’re outside.
  3. Have blankets or hot drinks available for your guests to keep them comfy

Winter weddings are so underrated, and I love getting to photographer them! They chose a beautiful winter color palette with a deep emerald green and deep maroon for their wedding. They also got a pop of red for their winter wedding with the color of the barn! Honeysuckle Hill has a red barn where you can hold an indoor ceremony and reception. It’s beautiful for photos, and these winter colors were perfect together.

They ended their reception night with a sparkler exit. There are so many fun ways to exit your wedding reception and end the night, and sparklers are one of my favorites because they are so fun to photograph.

Congratulations Becca and Jacob! I am so happy for you, and I loved getting to capture your beautiful winter wedding day at Honeysuckle Hill. View some of my favorites from their wedding day on the blog below!
