Blue Fall Wedding at Chestnut Ridge in Canton, NC

POSTED ON

November 28, 2020

Samantha and Adam were so excited for their special day. They couldn’t wait to be married! And then COVID, need I say more? They had originally planned to get married in May of 2020. Their timeline was created, flowers were designed, and everything was a go for a gorgeous spring wedding.

However, with having to reschedule their wedding to October, they shifted many of their designs to fall colors while still incorporating a gorgeous Spring-inspired blue that was part of the original plan. The bridesmaids already had their dresses and the original invites were blue, so you can understand how the color was just too important to the original designs to let it go.

Personally, I’d just like to say how much I LOVE how the blue tied into the fall colors and feel it made their day even more special because of the ‘why’ behind the blue. When the day FINALLY came for Samantha and Adam’s wedding to say we were excited would have been an understatement.

Some of my favorite details from this beautiful blue fall wedding…
  • Adam’s Gift …  y’all he had a 2-page letter for Samantha and it was such a sweet moment when she opened her gift from him.  It was the diamond from her mother’s engagement ring. Such a sweet way to remember her Dad by and have him closer to her heart on her wedding day.  I think we all teared up when we learned what the gift was.
  • Adam’s grandfather was remembered in a special way too… He and his grandsons would often go turkey hunting together and if you look closely at the boutonniere there are turkey feathers from one of these trips.
  • All of the floral details! I loved the 3 rings in the ceremony that was repurposed for the reception behind the cake table.  And the bouquets, Dottie with Inspired Designed did an amazing job.
  • An absolutely fun crowd. These guys had many close and fun friends.  Hello – did you see the size of the wedding party?? The dance floor had so much energy!

I have enjoyed every moment of working with these two from our first meeting at their engagement session – it was amazing. If you look closely at the mantle in the reception photos you can see one of my favorite images from their session!

Samantha and Adam, Congratulations again!

I can’t wait to follow along and see where life takes you.
