NC Arboretum Engage Session

NC Arboretum Fall Engagement Session | Lauren & Wesley

POSTED ON

March 21, 2020

These two are such fun to be  around, I loved that we were able to take their engagement photos at NC Arboretum. The rain changed our plans for their session but the Arboretum was just perfect with fall colors.

How they met:  They met at Chapel Hill in December of 2013~ they lived on the same floor sophomore year of undergrad at UNC Chapel Hill! Lauren had just transferred to UNC, and chose a random dorm, random floor, random room – and we ended up being right down the hall from each other. Our suite mates were friends, and we both tagged along to trips to the dining hall or Franklin Street and got to know each other then. The rest is history!

These two share a love for music, their dog Stevie is named after Stevie Nicks! Wesley plays banjo/guitar, Lauren sings. They enjoy playing for our families at holidays and on weekends for fun at home.  I am sure these guys will continue to entertain their friends and family and I can’t wait to be there the day they all gather together for their wedding!!

Wesley has been accepted into the residency program at Chapel Hill, congrats & a big thank you!  In recent days we have all realized what an important job and how giving and selfless our health care professionals are.  Wesley and Lauren’s wedding had to be rescheduled due to COVID-19 and they had the best attitude about it. Lauren even sent me a message checking on me and thinking of all her vendors.  ❤️

Looking forward to your BIG day at Chestnut Ridge!

A woman in glasses holding a coffee mug.

I’m Kathy – wedding photographer, mom of 1 daughter & 2 doodles, and avid sunset watcher. Once you’ve gotten to know a little more about me, it’ll be my turn to get to know you as too!! When I work with a couple, we usually end up feeling more like old friends by the time your wedding day arrives – which means a more relaxed, enjoyable wedding day experience for everyone. And when it comes to photo style, you’ll find your photos are vibrant and classic, in true-to-life color and timeless black and white. It’s my honor to serve joyful, authentic couples who want their wedding photos to be as timeless as their vows.
