Love Takes Flight | A Dream Wedding at Chestnut Ridge

I hope you’re ready for a heartwarming journey through a recent wedding captured by Kathy Beaver Photography. Today, we’re diving into a tale of love that soars high, quite literally!

Picture this: a love story born amidst the clouds, where two souls destined for the skies found each other. Our bride and groom? Well, they’re not your average lovebirds; they’re pilots! And if that’s not romantic enough, wait until you hear how they met—in training, of course! And guess what? The bride’s mom is also a pilot, adding a beautiful layer of legacy to this airborne love story.

Now, let’s talk about the little details that made this wedding an absolute dream. Imagine entering the venue and being greeted by an LED sign that reads “fly away with me.” Talk about setting the mood for a love journey that’s about to take flight!

But before we get ahead of ourselves, let’s rewind to the moments that stole our hearts. First looks are always special, but this bride’s first look with her father and brother? So sweet! It’s moments like these that remind us of the pure magic of love and family.

Now, onto the celebration! Our couple wanted to cherish every moment with their loved ones, so they opted for a leisurely 1 1/2 hour cocktail hour. Because when you’re surrounded by friends and family, time seems to fly by, doesn’t it?

Let’s talk flowers! Urban Farm Girl sprinkled spring-inspired blooms throughout the venue, with delicate pastel pinks stealing the show. And those bridesmaids’ bouquets? Pure elegance, with baby’s breath adding a touch of whimsy.

Now, here’s a sweet detail that will melt your heart: instead of a traditional wedding cake, our couple treated their guests to a table filled with an assortment of cookies and sweets from 50/Fifty the Art of Dessert.

And let’s not forget about the bling! The bride’s engagement ring and band were vintage pieces straight out of the 1930s, once worn by her grandmother. Cue the happy tears! Take a peek at those beautiful ring boxes—talk about treasures filled with love and history.

Now, let’s fast forward to the magical moment when we slipped out with the couple during dinner. Chestnut Ridge provided the perfect backdrop for their March wedding, with sunset photos capturing the venue and mountains in all their glory. Check out the photos below.

Oh, and speaking of something blue, our bride rocked a pair of blue shoes for her walk down the aisle, swapping them for comfy tennis shoes to dance the night away at the reception. Now, that’s what we call practical magic!

As the evening unfolded, guests enjoyed the perfect weather, enjoying the outdoor spaces well into the night. And let’s talk about that candle-lined walkway— loved this!
