This is one of my favorite locations in Asheville for engagement sessions! I got to meet Sydney and David at Black Balsam Knob for their mountain engagement session, and we had so much fun!
When doing sunset sessions at this location, we normally start in the woods with the tall trees until the sun starts to get lower. This is always such a cool vibe for portraits because the trees are HUGE! This is also a great starting place to warm up for portraits and get some together before you head out into the wind. Once that sun goes down we head out to the trail and make our way to some mountain views!
Pro Tip: Even in the wind in your hair, you get amazing photos! Bring a hair tie and a brush to help you get some great windblown photos!
Sydney wore a red floral dress and David wore a neutral colored button down shirt with pants. I loved this color combo and the red on Sydney truly popped n their images! It added so much color and life to their photos against the skyline of the blue ridge mountains.
View some of my favorites from their windy engagement session at Black Balsam Knob below, and you can view their classic Ashville Wedding day at The Farm on the blog here! Thank you Sydney and David for trusting me to be your photographer. I have loved getting to know you both and take these photos for you!!
