Being a parent, it’s common knowledge that kids grow up in the blink of an eye. Being a photographer I see families change and grow over the years, and being a mom I cling to the little moments with my own kids knowing it goes too fast. One minute you’re rocking them to sleep and cleaning crayon off the walls for the third time that week, and the next you’re sending them off to college and hoping you’ve prepared them enough for what lies ahead.
Celebrating Jessica
I recently took senior photos for Jessica, a soon to be 2018 graduate from R-S Central High School. Her mom and I graduated high school together and we both have daughters graduating this year. Seems like it wasn’t that long ago we graduated ourselves, and now we’re watching our own kids graduate. So bittersweet! Jessica is such a beautiful, sweet girl who loves God and her family. She cheers and clogs, and her clog team just won the National Championship! How impressive!
I have no doubt she will go on to do great things when she graduates high school. This session was incredibly special, and being able to photograph my high school friends own children in high school means so much to me. It really comes full circle in a way, and it’s nice to reminisce and look back, as well as catch up on the exciting things to come. It was so great to spend time with Jessica and her mom, along with another friend and her son. Be on the lookout for his senior pictures soon.
How gorgeous is this soon to be 2018 grad! Being her Asheville Senior Portrait Photographer was such a sweet treat. Almost as sweet as her!
