Kate and Cody are an absolutely beautiful couple. Cody is gaining a beautiful wife as well as her little girls, and everyone was equally thrilled to become one big happy family. They hosted their fairytale wedding in a Castle in Ashville, NC. It was a day right out of the storybooks. The weather was perfect and the sun began to set during the ceremony, bathing us all in gorgeous golden light.
Four Hearts. One Love.
Kate’s little girls were precious, and Cody obviously shares a special bond with them. Check out the moment I caught just after the ceremony. Cody literally jumped for joy as Kate’s little girl ran with her arms wide open to give him a hug. Be still my heart! Kate’s expression in this image is absolutely priceless. This photo brings me to tears every time. Cody gave each of the girls a necklace during the ceremony to commemorate that he was making not only a commitment to their mother, but to both of them as well.
Speaking of those little sweet hearts, they absolutely stole my heart. Seeing them twirl in their princess gowns and the excitement they had about their mom getting married to Cody left a forever mark on my heart. The bride and groom value family and have strong relationships with their families. This was shown throughout the entire event, as Mom, Lynn, decorated the altar, Kate’s sister, Anne, was her maid of honor wearing a gorgeous navy dress. And Cody’s brother, Cameron, was more than happy to act as the best man.
Kate and Cody’s Fairytale Wedding
The wedding and reception had an subtle elegance that fit these two perfectly. We took the bridal party and family pictures on the front steps of the castle, which clearly made a stunning backdrop. Kate and the girls wore coordinating sparkly shoes (every girls dream!). Kate showed out in blue sparkly heels and the girls had a grand time in their sparkly tennis shoes. The fall colored bouquets with the pop of corn-flower blue were gorgeous and only enhanced the beauty of the venue. The texture and architecture of the castle made for some gorgeous and elegant images.
The elegance carried into the reception hall where the high-vaulted ceilings were adorned with candle light and the tables were topped with gold charger plates and beautiful centerpieces. The couple celebrated their love with some fun sugar cookies followed by some very sweet kisses. I adored seeing this family become whole, and had a great wonderful capturing these memories for them.
