White Point Gardens Wedding in Historic Downtown Charleston | Ivy and Josh

It was such an honor to photograph this wedding! A mutual friend connected me with Ivy and her mom and I instantly felt like we had been friends forever. Ivy envisioned a small wedding in the heart of Charleston. They had a beautiful White Point Gardens wedding in the morning – which I highly recommend in the summertime!

My sister company, Legacy and Legend, is an elopement company, and I was able to use my planning skills to help the couple find an officiant. My friend Whitney with Festoon made a gorgeous bouquet full of white and pink florals. I just love when I can help with making a couples plans happen!

Ivy and Josh shared a romantic first look at the gazebo in White Point Garden before their ceremony. Then we walked around the Historic Charleston District taking couples photos before their ceremony. Portraits in Charleston are some of my favorite! There is a hidden gem and beautiful home around every corner. If you’re getting married or want to just want photos in Charleston, let me know! I can’t wait to be back!

Ivy and Josh – Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your special day in Charleston! It was so much fun getting to explore this city with you on your wedding day.

Meet Kathy

A woman in glasses holding a coffee mug.

I’m Kathy – wedding photographer, mom of 1 daughter & 2 doodles, and avid sunset watcher. Once you’ve gotten to know a little more about me, it’ll be my turn to get to know you as too!! When I work with a couple, we usually end up feeling more like old friends by the time your wedding day arrives – which means a more relaxed, enjoyable wedding day experience for everyone. And when it comes to photo style, you’ll find your photos are vibrant and classic, in true-to-life color and timeless black and white. It’s my honor to serve joyful, authentic couples who want their wedding photos to be as timeless as their vows.
