The spring weather on Clare and Hunter’s wedding day was perfection! Everything was starting to bloom and bud, with green and pink filling the landscape. It was the most beautiful backdrop for a spring wedding and a what a way to mark the beginning of a new season of life for Hunter and Clare.
We started the wedding festivities at the Hyatt Place in downtown Asheville. The bride was staying in the bridal suite which had such amazing light and views of the blue ridge mountains There were pink accents in the room which complimented the colors of the bridesmaids and the bride’s flowers perfectly! I was also able to capture stunning photographs of their wedding invitation, which had a beautiful watercolor painting of the venue on it.
Now Clare had told me and Jennifer, the amazing Videographer of Wildwood Media, that she was a laid back bride and would have no problems with staying on schedule. Y’all Clare, her mom and all her bridesmaids were completely dressed and ready for us when we showed up. They were so sweet and kind and cleared the room so it was “picture ready”! Can we talk about how gorgeous Clare is? I just love that we were able to get a few bridal portraits in this space!
This was my first time shooting at Claxton Farm, which is just outside of Asheville. This working farm of 500 acres has amazing views of the mountains along with farm animals and of course Chocolate Chip the llama that greets everyone! This venue did not disappoint.
This sweet couple met while attending school in Charleston. Clare, originally from Connecticut, was attending the College of Charleston and Hunter was attending the Citadel at the same time. The rest is history…
