Luke and Samantha’s wedding was such a refreshingly intimate event. They were married Saturday April 22nd in Raleigh, NC at Lake Johnson. It was wonderful to see how easily the love moves through both of them as their Raleigh Wedding Photographer. They were both so laid back and just wanted to enjoy the day. And enjoy we did! I love that they did what they love and did not just follow tradition expectations. They got ready together and I was able to capture some precious portraits of them individually and together. They even had board games in their room to play. I have to admit, I felt completely out of the loop because I had not heard of most of them. 🙂

Can we talk about Samantha’s dress?! How perfect it was for this lake side wedding. I love it, what a gorgeous color on her and it made her bright blue eyes “pop”. It was the perfect dress for the day, as it was a balmy 90 degrees Saturday. Look at the smiles on both their faces. Luke had tissues in pocket for Sam when she got a little teary after the vows. How sweet is that!
The thing that will forever stick with me is how intertwined their two hearts are. They walked into the ceremony together and enjoyed a glass of wine together as part of the ceremony. I can tell their futures will be filled with endless love and laughter together.
