I first met the Harris family 3+ years ago for their engagement pictures. They are some of my very first clients! A little over a year ago we met up for their maternity session at the beautiful Biltmore Estate just over a year ago. I can’t believe this little one is now celebrating her first birthday with a milestone photo session!
Daddy’s Little Girl
We had perfect weather for an outdoor session on location. Arden was pretty in pink among the beautiful flowers as she walked along the garden grounds with mom and dad. And because this little princess has dad wrapped around her finger, he cuddled her and gave her some special daddy-daughter kisses too!
I brought along a little teepee for Arden to play in while we photographed her in her Wild One! Shirt. And look at these little Converse! I remember doing her six month session in her nursery and seeing beautifully colored monogrammed pairs along her shelf. She was sure to have some handy for her first birthday shoot as well! She’s getting so playful and curious.
Mommy and Me
I think my favorite was when mom donned a matching denim jacket to Arden’s and we were able to get some precious mommy and me photos. There is nothing quite like the bond between mothers and daughters, and I am sure these two will be no exception.
It’s always important to me to take some time and photograph just mom and dad together. A lot of couples can become lost in parenthood, and it’s so valuable to remember and honor them together as a couple.
