I had the pleasure of doing an engagement session for one of my most favorite couples this past spring in Downtown Asheville. It was a gorgeous late afternoon and the lighting was just perfect. Robert and Abby are a joy, my cheeks were sore at the end of their engagement photoshoot from all the laughing and smiling! This sweet couple met at their church, Biltmore Baptist’s, single ministry. They are an outgoing couple who love running races, outdoor activities, but also enjoy a quite evening of watching movies and eating junk food. Walking downtown and having an ice cream at the Marble Slab Creamery is one of their favorite things to do, so we had to include that in their engagement pictures!
I recommend an engagement session to all couples, in fact I believe in it so much I include a complimentary engagement session in all my wedding packages. It is an opportunity to get to know your photographer and become comfortable working together. It gives you a feeling of how things we go on the wedding day and what to expect.
We started our session at Pack Square and finished up their engagement pictures at the Sky Bar with a gorgeous sunset as our backdrop. It was great getting to know these guys and I had the tremendous honor of photographing their wedding this past May.
