Downtown Charlotte Engagement Pictures Featuring the Skyline at Sunset
This downtown Charlotte engagement photo shoot was super fun! I enjoyed spending some time in Charlotte and getting to know Jessica and Payton in their neighborhood, Plaza Midwood, which is only walking distance to downtown Charlotte. After chatting we decided to meet up in their neighborhood for engagement pictures, focusing on areas that are sentimental to the couple. We took a few pictures in front of their first home, along with their dog Ruby. After that we went to a few different areas around their neighborhood. They met on a blind date at Intermezzo, so we absolutely had to get some photos with the restaurant in the background. I love to location scout and check out new areas; when Jessica mentioned that she wanted to get some photographs with the skyline of the city in the background, I immediately started searching for locations that would give us a phenomenal vantage point. Turns out the top level of a parking garage was perfect. I loved that Jessica and Payton had not seen the city from this view; it was such a great surprise to them. We were able to get some additional dramatic sunset pictures with skyline as a backdrop.
Having an engagement session is a great way for us to get to know each other and for you to become more comfortable with having your pictures taken. It allows us time to discuss your plans and make suggestions before your wedding day , while allowing us to get to know each other a little better. Becoming friends with my couples is one of the things I look forward to the most!
