I was so excited to be contacted by Nikki and Matt to capture their engagement photos. This romance has been seven years in the making! Nikki shared they first met during the summer of 2010 when she worked as a waitress along Seneca Lake and Matt’s family would travel from New York for their annual vacation there.
A Destination Celebration
They knew they wanted a beautiful outdoor location, and fortunately, Asheville is brimming with picturesque spots! We had wonderful weather and were able to take advantage of gorgeous golden hour light where the sun hits so perfectly and gives such a warm glow to everything.
These two were so relaxed and natural. During our pre-session consultation, Nikki had cautioned me that Matt can be a little shy and hesitant when having his photo taken, but once they were outdoors and spending time with each other, it was almost as if they were unaware I was there capturing their candid moments together.
Sweet Moments, Stolen Kisses
I brought along a colorful cotton blanket and found a natural rock staircase worked into the hillside. It was so sweet to watch Nikki and Matt together. They are so tender with one another, it just warms my heart!
We finished our session at a hilltop location, and Nikki changed into a beautiful peacock blue dress. I love the view as the clouds look almost like waves dotted along the Blue Ridge Mountains. Nikki and Matt had a few moments just dancing and laughing. I loved it!
