Blush and Gold Wedding Reception

Blush and Gold Wedding Reception

POSTED ON

August 24, 2016

A blush and gold wedding reception that was absolutely gorgeous.  The bride and her family did all of the decorating and it turned out beautifully.  The blush pink satin napkins that her grandma made, gold sequin table runners, white and gold accents all made for a reception that looked like it was out of a fairy tale.  There were white cafe lights strung across the reception area,  and lanterns with white candles throughout.  The wooden beams were draped with white fabric and tied back with blush pink tiebacks.  They totally transformed this reception area that was held in Burnsville, NC.

The bride and groom’s head table, you have to check it out, there were glass balls with white lights inside them.  The backdrop of pink fabric strips behind the couple really brought your eye right to them.

The couples cake table was covered with a gold sequined tablecloth and a gold love topper decorated the cake of pink and white.   As guests arrived there were  cake pops to snack on in their wedding colors of pink and white that were topped with gold sprinkles.  There was a fruit station that had bowls carved from the fruit itself and the melon bowl was carved with swans as the handle.

I look forward to sharing their wedding with you soon.  Thanks to Kim Wilson for having me along to second shoot.  This is one of the times that it helps to have two photographers.  When the reception is at a different location than the ceremony.  I was able to run to reception and photograph the reception decorations untouched while the photographer took the bridal party and family formals immediately after the ceremony.
