The Blue Ridge mountains are such a sweet slice of heaven here in this part of Appalachia. The vast beauty stretches as far as the eye can see. You can imagine why the overlooks along the Parkway are such a favorite for engagement sessions – the views are hard to top. This is exactly why Amanda and decided on a Blue Ridge Mountain engagement session at Black Balsam Knob Trail.
This location is one of my favorites because of the two very different scenes it provides. We are able to ascend to the top with breathtaking views, as well as wander into the forest where the sun dances throughout the trees. As a photographer, nothing pleases me more than capturing beauty like this! I loved how they picked out two different wardrobe looks for their session. One being more muted and the other being fun and bright! How stunning was Amanda’s berry-toned dress? We opted to schedule the session at golden hour (always a great time) and the sunset on the evening of their Blue Ridge Mountain engagement session did not disappoint. The beams of light and colorful hues that lit up the sky were the cherry on top of this session.
I can’t wait for their JuneBug Retro Resort in June. It’s going to be magical! Want to see a wedding I’ve shot there in the past? Click here!
