I always find it fascinating the way love can bring people together from different places. For Daisy and Manny, New York became the place where their love story began. However, as fate would have it, they found a connection in North Carolina, where Daisy went to college. Their first date at the Biltmore Estate in Asheville marked the beginning of a beautiful journey together. A few years later, Manny asked Daisy to be his wife, and that is how this Blue Ridge engagement session came to be! Since the mountains held a special place in their heart (like they do mine!) they decided a mountaintop engagement session would be perfect.
As I’ve stated in previous blog posts, the weather in the mountains can be unpredictable. When the day of their Blue Ridge engagement session arrived, it had begun to rain. Even so, the sun soon made its appearance, creating the perfect lighting for their session. We explored a few locations along the Blue Ridge Parkway, which gave great variety to the photos we were able to capture. I loved venturing into the woods with these two, as they really were having a blast exploring together.
A Colorful Surprise
During our time together, a beautiful rainbow appeared – talk about luck! As the sun began to set, the sky was painted in cotton candy colors, which made for some breathtaking sunset shots. The combination of a rainbow sighting along with the colorful sky definitely made for some vibrant and picturesque photos!
I loved working with these two and think the photos perfectly capture the beauty of their love and the mountains! This engagement session was a celebration of their love and their journey together. It was a reminder that even in the most unpredictable moments, love can create something beautiful and magical!
