Black Mountain Wedding Photographer | The Manor House

POSTED ON

May 24, 2017
This gorgeous wedding was held in the most beautiful, unique location. It’s a hidden gem tucked away in downtown Black Mountain. The Manor House, originally known as “In the Oaks,” was built in the 1920’s and has a rich history and Misty, the bride, loves history. Obviously, she was so intrigued by the story of the Manor House that she knew it would be her wedding venue one day the first day she went to see it and learn about its great history.
Her twin sister was a huge help in planning Misty’s wedding. She found me on Wedding Wire. After chatting with Misty and her twin sister, I was so excited to be working with them. And couldn’t wait to get started. When we toured the wedding venue together, I could have spent the entire afternoon visiting with them. They are so sweet, easy-going, and down-to-earth. We were able to come up with so many great ideas for the big day together.

About Their Asheville Wedding

How gorgeous is Misty?! Her goal for the day was for everyone to enjoy the day and celebrate her and Paul’s love for each other and the beginning of their lives together forever. She said to me, “Why stress? Paul and I wanted to be joined together before God and celebrate our marriage with our friends and family.” Misty and Paul did just that. The wedding was so incredibly breathtaking. It couldn’t have been any more perfect. Their ceremony was held inside The Manor House. With its gorgeous, vaulted ceilings and exposed beams, it was the perfect combination of romantic, classy, and elegant for this beautiful wedding and couple. (Fun fact: The architect who designed it is the same architect that designed the Biltmore Estate! How cool?!)

“Why stress? Paul and I wanted to be joined together before God and celebrate our marriage with our friends and family.”

After saying their vows, Misty, staying true to who she is, made a detour down the aisle to say hello to Paul’s daughter and her children. What a sweet and precious moment that I can only imagine they’ll cherish for the rest of their lifetime. At the wedding and reception, I had the pleasure of meeting Misty’s other sister and brother. They had also decorated and helped with the details of the wedding. They all did such an amazingly beautiful job. And, oh my goodness! And how cute is Misty’s niece. She is just a couple weeks old, and she snoozed the day away while everyone got in their cuddles with her.

Congrats Misty and Paul

This was such a fun, unique, and memorable experience. I couldn’t thank Misty and her sister enough for being so welcoming and allowing me to document this special day for them and their family and friends. What a blessing. Misty and Paul have such a beautiful love for each other, and I’m so happy for them! I wish them a lifetime of love and happiness as they begin their wonderful life together as husband and wife!
