Where do I even begin with this incredible wedding at the Callanwolde Fine Arts Center? Kristen and Christian are two of the kindest people I have ever met. They are a joy to be around, and you can’t help but smile after spending a few minutes with them. So after speaking with them about photographing their Atlanta wedding, I of course said “yes”! I couldn’t wait to be a part of their vendor team. Their day was full of fun from start to finish – and the details, oh my the details. While editing their gallery, I discovered so many hidden little details that I may not have noticed on their wedding day. Their Atlanta wedding was full of so many special touches, and I’m so excited to share their wedding with you.
Before the wedding weekend arrived, Kristen and Christian’s guests were given a glimpse of the beauty that was to come via the letterpress invitation suite. The suite from Tin Lizzy was absolutely gorgeous! From the watercolor venue on the envelope liner to the colorful flowers that surrounded the invitation wrap, this suite was one of the most gorgeous ones I’ve ever seen! All these stunning details hinted at what guests would see on the wedding day!
2023 Trends for an Atlanta Wedding
These two were definitely ahead of the game with the trends I am hearing mentioned for 2023. From Kristen’s beautiful blush wedding gown to the flowers that were bursting with color (even in the winter!). Y’all – the staircase with flowers was unbelievable; wait until you see the images! Every square inch of this wedding was dripping with elegant color, I was in heaven! Another trend we were able to capture was black and white blurry photos. These were shot that way intentionally! I love the artistic feel and look of these, they are so romantic!
Their cake display was a total showstopper. The cake linen was blue and white which matched the guest linens, and the cake was set on top of a gold cake stand adorned with the same colorful flowers that lined the staircase situated behind the table. The cake topper was absolutely precious; it was a replica of the two of them with their pup who recently passed away. What a sweet way to honor their fur baby!
The end of the evening fun included a Waffle House Truck for a late night snack and more music from the amazing band they had. The night ened with snow flurries and a bubble exit with the couple leaving in a beautiful Porchse.
With this being my first time photographing a wedding in Atlanta, I was working with a new group of vendors. I can honestly say Kristen and Christian put together a dream team of vendors. They were all so kind and helpful and were a joy to work with and made my day as an Atlanta wedding photographer a wonderful experience! I really hope to head back to Georgia to shoot an Atlanta wedding real soon! Are you looking for a photographer that will travel for your wedding? I’d love to chat!
